In brief
SBS Fashion has an office in Türkiye (Turkey), and 7 of its 11 named manufacturing and fabric partners list a location there, covering denim, flat knitwear, men’s underwear, printed fabrics and lace. It is also the North America agent for Rabek Fashion Prints and Antik Dantel.
Who makes what
Türkiye is rarely the lowest quote. Buyers go for the mills, laundries and sewing lines around Istanbul, Izmir and Bursa. Most of our named partners are based there and so is one of our three offices outside the United States, so most of this piece is names.
Denim

- Trio Denim (Trio Uluslararası Tekstil), Istanbul. Premium denim, specializing in sustainable denim production.
- FIRATGROUP International, Izmir, established 1994. Denim and non-denim garments in women’s, men’s and kids’ collections for global brands. GOTS, GRS and OCS certified.
FIRAT keeps cutting, sewing, washing, garment dyeing and quality control in-house. Buyers should note that. On denim the laundry is where programs are won or lost, and the further it sits from the sewing line, the harder it is to hold a wash standard.
Knitwear
- Modega, Istanbul, established 1989. Flat knitwear for European and American markets, focused on luxury and premium brands.
Flat knitwear has its own rules for teams coming from cut-and-sew.
Men’s underwear
- Selga Textile, Istanbul and Çaycuma, established 1991. Boxers and briefs. The Nersoy factory runs 18 sewing lines with in-house cutting, printing and quality control. The Darsel plant weaves jacquard and plain elastic bands as a nominated supplier to leading underwear brands.
The waistband carries the logo and takes the wear, which makes that plant the interesting part of the group.
Prints and lace
- Rabek Fashion Prints, Kestel Industrial Zone, Bursa. High-fashion printed fabrics.
- Antik Dantel, Istanbul and Çorlu, established 1995. Embroidered lace and raschel fabric, with 20 Karl Mayer lace and raschel machines at its Çorlu facility and an annual capacity of 50 million meters.
- RDM Global LLC, Türkiye. Our multi-category manufacturing partner.
We are the North America agent for Rabek and Antik Dantel. Choosing between embroidered and raschel lace is a separate question.
Reading a certificate
GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard, covers textiles made with organic fibers through processing and manufacturing, with environmental and social criteria. GRS, the Global Recycled Standard, verifies recycled content along with social, environmental and chemical requirements. OCS, the Organic Content Standard, verifies the amount of organically grown material in a product and tracks it through the supply chain.
A certificate has a scope, and the scope is the part to read. Ask which facilities, processes and products it covers, and check the expiry date. A factory holding a certificate does not, by itself, make your garment certified. If you plan to make a claim on a hangtag, ask early about transaction certificates for your order, which are hard to reconstruct after the goods have shipped.
Before you place a program
A factory holding a certificate does not, by itself, make your garment certified.
Check that the partner’s specialty matches the category. A country’s reputation tells you little about a particular factory. Ask which steps happen in the building and which go out to subcontractors, and on denim ask about washing and dyeing by name. Compare stated capacity with your quantities and dates. Find out who will be on the ground for you once production starts.
Duty treatment for Turkish goods moved in 2025 and again in 2026. Price it with your customs broker on the day you cost.
